arsenal given a blow as cavani sighns new contract

 

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Edinson Cavani after the striker reportedly signed a bumper new contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Cavani has penned a fresh deal with the French champions which will see him stay at the Parc des Princes until 2020, report Sky Italia.

The Uruguayan has been linked with a move to the Emirates as Arsene Wenger looks for goals to end the club's Premier League title drought.

Cavani is apparently set to pocket £6.25million a season from his new deal, with another £1.25million in bonuses.
