Bellerin set for new Arsenal contract

Arsenal are ready to offer Hector Bellerin a new contract to fend off Barcelona,

Defender Bellerin has caught the Spanish champions’ eye this summer after an impressive season.
But the Gunners already have wheels in motion to tie down one of their prize assets, whose current deal expires in 2019.

Bellerin, 21, started his career in Barca’s youth set-up, but joined Arsenal in 2011 and signed professional terms two years later.

The Spain international right-back, who has been selected in his country’s Euro 2016 squad, has quickly emerged as one of the best and most sought after in Europe.

But despite Barcelona ’s public admiration for Bellerin, the Nou Camp giants have not made a formal offer.
The player has insisted he is happy in London and grateful for Arsenal giving him an opportunity.
