Manchester City agree £40m fee for Germany star

Man City eye £40m Gundogan team-mate as Pep's second signing after scouting mission

Manchester City have been keeping a close eye on transfer target Leroy Sane ahead of Euro 2016.
The 20-year-old Schalke winger is in Germany’s squad for this summer’s European Championships, and City scouts were present for their friendly against Slovakia last Sunday.

The highly-rated youngster has long been linked with a move to City, as well as other Premier League clubs, and it looks as though he could cost as much as £40million.
City today confirmed the signing of Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund, and Pep Guardiola could make Sane his second raid on the Bundesliga as he prepares to leave German champions Bayern Munich before taking over at the Etihad Stadium.

Sane’s performances have seen him become regarded as one of the top young attacking players in Europe, and City may have to move fast for him in case a strong Euro 2016 sees his £40m price tag rise even higher.
